Get more work done, in the lab or on-site
Accuracy, throughput, and workload coverage are the most important contributors to a calibration lab's success. Fluke Calibration's engineers designed the new family of calibrators to have the widest coverage, with the most uptime, and the ability to capture full-scale measurement of devices under test, with one instrument.
See how the new 5560A High-Performance Multi-Product Calibrator compares to the Fluke Calibration 5522A Multi-Product Calibrator.
With redesigned ranging, one calibrator can do more
The 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A are optimized to match the range switching of 6.5-digit, 5.5-digit, and 4.5-digit multimeters. The 5522A was designed to range in multiples of 3.3x. Our new calibrators range at 1.2x, matching digital multimeters at their ideal specification points. With these improvements, calibrate more of your multimeter workload with a single calibrator, with more confidence.
Continuous 30 A current output with no downtime
All models include a 30 A continuous current output, which can run continuously with no duty cycle. While other calibrators could be required to turn off for seven minutes for every minute of use, our new calibrator doesn’t overheat, even over hours of heavy use. Less wait time, better throughput.
Easy for everyone in the lab to use and learn
A patented new interface and new safety features help you train new users quickly and confidently
The 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A are easy enough that anyone with a basic understanding of electronics can use it. At every step, the new 7-inch graphical user interface and light-up terminals work together to guide users through procedures, with important information displayed large enough to read from across the laboratory. Even inexperienced users can begin performing procedures in no time.
Regardless of the skill level of your technicians, our new calibrators are easier to learn and operate than ever.
Intuitive user interface
Technicians can learn the interface in minutes. Training new users is easier than ever, and available in nine languages. The menu-driven interface of the 5522A has been replaced by a 7-inch graphical user interface that is intuitive and easy to read, providing touch access to common functions without menu scrolling. The menu is simplified, displaying only the information you need for each procedure.
Remapped output terminals
Connect leads once and complete calibrations efficiently. We’ve redesigned the output block to match the layout on standard digital multimeters and to minimize lead changes with dedicated terminals.

Visual Connection Management™ connection terminals
Output terminals light up to show you which terminals are active. Green for voltage, and blue for current, making it easier to match the right connections to the measurement you’re making.
Optional portability kit for calibration in the field
For those who work in the field, the portability kit protects the calibrator and makes it easier to transport. The kit includes front/rear bumpers and an easy-grip side handle. A transit case (included) is designed for shipping the calibrator, with or without the portability kit.
Reverse power protection without false tripping
The 5560A, 5550A and 5540A provide reverse power protection and immediate output disconnection on the output terminals for all functions. The protections apply to external voltages up to 300 Vpk and help protect the calibrator’s internal circuitry from costly operator error—preventing damage and keeping the calibrator up and running.
Redesigned accessories and simplified automation
In the lab or on-site, features you expect from a modern calibration instrument
Safer, more ergonomic, less susceptible to damage. Fluke Calibration's engineers have improved accessories to expand your workload and provide repeatable results. With MET/CAL™ Calibration Management Software and USB connectivity, automation is seamless, allowing managers and technicians to get more done in a day.
Higher throughput for high current workloads
The increased 30 A output enables you to use the 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A as a 30 A calibrator for higher current workloads, such as clamp meters up to 1500 A (with optional current coil). Continuous output means you don’t need to put the calibrator on standby for cool down periods while using the current function. That lets you increase throughput, which can be a real time-saver if you calibrate a lot of ammeters.
Redesigned current coils
A new optional 1-, 2-, 10-turn current coil and a redesigned 50-turn current coil work with the 5560A, 5550A and 5540A to enable you to calibrate workload that includes clamp-type current meters and oscilloscope current probes. Each coil, like the calibrator, is designed for continuous use at 30 A with a minimum duty cycle which improves calibration throughput as much as four times.

Expand workload coverage even more. Use the 5560A, 5550A or the 5540A with the Fluke Calibration 52120A Transconductance Amplifier to increase the current output to 6000 A, ideal for calibrating high-current components such as Rogowski coils.
MET/CAL™ automation increases throughput and efficiency
The 5560A, 5550A and 5540A work with MET/CAL, including hundreds of automated calibration procedures to consistently and dramatically improve throughput. MET/CAL v10.6.1 and later includes a Function Select Code (FSC) that enables you to add the 5560A, 5550A and 5540A seamlessly to your existing calibration operations.
The current coil accessories for the 5560A, 5550A, and 5540A have been redesigned to be safer, more rugged, and have better accuracy.
