ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Over the last couple of years, you have probably seen terms like Industry 4.0, big data, machine learning, and Industry of Things jumping out from every other article.

But do you know what is their common denominator? For maintenance professionals, the one thing that connects all of it is predictive maintenance.

Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is a proactive maintenance strategy that tries to predict when a piece of equipment might fail so that maintenance work can be performed just before that happens.

Have you ever asked yourself?

  • What is predictive maintenance for industrial 4.0 and why does it work?
  • Should I apply predictive maintenance to all my equipment?
  • How do I get the right balance between reactive, preventive and predictive maintenance?
  • What PdM tools can be used to improve my maintenance work?
  • How do I ensure that the return from an investment in predictive maintenance is maximized?

Our solution-based workshop is designed to answer these questions.
 WHO TO ATTEND
  • Maintenance and Engineering Managers
  • Team Leaders / Supervisors
  • Planners
  • Facilities Maintenance Technicians
  • Field Service Technicians
  • Professionals who want to find out more about Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
KEY
  • Benefits of Predictive Maintenance solution and how to apply it to your maintenance routine
  • Latest Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods in PdM solution

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Motor and Drive Troubleshooting workshop is designed to equip maintenance professionals to better understand the health of your motor and drive system.

Motor and variable-frequency drive systems are critical workhorses to power the industries. Users are faced with costly repair and downtime costs from recurring pre-mature motor failure but are still unaware of the under-lying causes of the problem. The motor and drive systems can be complex to many. Fortunately, technology has simplified the end-to-end troubleshooting process enabling users to react quickly to determine the faults. In factory automation, the controller and field devices systems are commonly controlled by industrial field buses and can be easily affected due to the impact of disruptive environment conditions and electrical disturbances.

This hands-on workshop will help you better identify the common failure modes and the relevant standards which are applicable to the drive and motor. Important tips on monitoring the condition of the physical layer will be shared. Lastly, it will cover how motor mechanical performances can be easily determine while the system is running.

 WHO TO ATTEND

  • Motor and Generator Engineers (Beginners and Advanced)
  • Drive and Control Engineers
  • Automation and System Engineers
  • Engineering Directors
  • Engineering and R&D Managers
  • Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
KEY
  • How is it possible to determine the harmful voltage on a rotating shaft?
  • What are the ways to identify and capture the causes of the failure modes?
  • What are the best practices for end-to-end troubleshooting of VFD and motor?
  • Understand the possible causes of catastrophic faults.
  • Quick way to test the industrial digital communication systems (field buses).
  • How to analyze motor mechanical performance without mechanical sensor?
  • How does power quality affects motor performance and quantify the types of losses?
  • How thermal solution can help to screen the health of your plants’ assets.
